How to Export Your Catalog to AuctionFlex
Step-by-step guide to exporting your Estimint catalog to AuctionFlex format, including field mapping, description splitting, and import tips.
AuctionFlex + Estimint
AuctionFlex is one of the most widely used auction management platforms in the industry. Estimint's export system generates CSV files that map directly to AuctionFlex's import format, so you can go from AI-generated catalog to live auction in minutes.
Before You Export
Make sure your catalog is ready:
- All items processed — Every item should have a title, description, and values
- Lot numbers assigned — Items should be ordered and numbered the way you want them in the auction
- Review complete — Check descriptions and values for accuracy
Export Steps
1. Open Export
Navigate to Catalogs in your sidebar, then click on the catalog you want to export. Click the Export option from the catalog actions menu, or go to Catalogs > Export in the sidebar.
2. Select Your Catalog
Choose the catalog from the dropdown. You'll see a summary: item count, total images, and estimated value range.
3. Choose AuctionFlex Platform
In the platform dropdown, select AuctionFlex. The field list automatically updates to match AuctionFlex's expected format:
- Lead/Title (maps from your item title)
- Min Est Each and Max Est Each (maps from value range)
- Consignor Code (from your consignor assignments)
- Quantity (automatically set to "1")
4. Configure Description Splitting
AuctionFlex has a 500-character limit per description field. If your descriptions are longer, enable the Split description into 500-character blocks toggle. This creates Description 1, Description 2, Description 3, etc. — each limited to 500 characters, splitting at word boundaries.
5. Arrange Fields
Drag and drop fields to reorder them, or toggle fields on/off. The order here determines the column order in your CSV.
6. Validate
Click Check Catalog to scan for potential issues:
- Titles exceeding 75 characters (AuctionFlex's recommended limit)
- Missing descriptions or values
- Items without lot numbers
7. Preview and Export
Preview the first few rows to confirm formatting, then click Export Collection. The CSV downloads immediately.
Importing into AuctionFlex
- Open AuctionFlex and navigate to the auction
- Use the CSV import function
- Map columns if prompted (Estimint's column headers match AuctionFlex's expected names)
- Review and confirm the import
Tips
- Save a preset — If you export regularly, save your field configuration as a preset. Next time, select the preset and export in one click.
- Title length — AuctionFlex displays titles in limited space. Keep them under 75 characters for best results. Estimint's validator will flag titles that are too long.
- Consignor codes — Make sure your consignor codes in Estimint match the codes in AuctionFlex for proper tracking.
